Message form the President!
Highland College (HLC) is located in the beautiful city of Bahir Dar, near to the shore of Lake Tana and has a branch at the town of Injibara. The College started its journey in 2003 by providing teachers training program at certificate level followed by diploma and undergraduate program in the subsequent years. since its start in 2003, the college has been dedicated to achieve excelllence in the teaching and learning aspects of its purpose.
I’m very much excited to tell you that you are very lucky to join our College because it is one of the pioneers’ prHEIs in Amhara Region and established by a team of professionals who have many years of teaching experience at university and business consultancy service.
Now a day, the quality of education in prHEIs is the concern of many citizens even though public universities are also not immune from this. Our motto “What is high in Highland is its quality education and training!” Achieving education quality will continue to be remained the center of all our future efforts; namely improving input, process and output categories of the education system. Highland College, as an academic institution, has also experted a lot of effort to perform problem-solving research and provide need-based community services. the vision of the college is to become one of the most recognized private University Colleges by 2030 and among the core values of the College three of them are Execellence, students first, ad equality. Therefore, the college should work hard towards achieving these core values end to end. That is, all along from the time of students’ admission to the time of graduation. Hence the college community should expert their maximum effort with string sense of ownership to contribute in practical translation of our college vision and core values into the creation of the letter future of their country.
